Because my cans cut jaggedly, I used Jenna's "window can" to make my displacer. It was difficult to get the displacer out without cutting my fingers. When rubbing the displacer to make it fall into the can without friction I realized I had to be really careful not to shave too much off the edges; the foam was really delicate. My displacer turned out relatively even and fell into the can with little to no friction.
